Although OneBridge is well known for providing technological solutions to pipeline operators in the domain of pipeline integrity and compliance via our Cognitive Integrity Management (CIM) platform, OneBridge also provides integrity and compliance professional services Our professional services team comprised of GIS analysts and pipeline integrity engineers have conducted analyses for over 82,000 miles of liquid and gas transmission pipelines – the equivalent of traversing the United States more than 27 times. They’ve also conducted analyses for hundreds of above-ground storage tanks. They are well versed in regulatory requirements as well as industry best practices.

Integrity as a Service (IaaS)

Risk Management

Understanding the risk on your pipeline is paramount to effectively managing the integrity. Our professional services team can help you:

  • Conduct a qualitative or quantitative risk assessment per ASME B31.8S and API 1160.
  • Rank assets through risk scores computed from an asset’s performance and design data.
  • Determine preventive and mitigative measures (PM&Ms) based on a risk assessment.

Risk assessments can be completed on gas or hazardous liquid pipeline assets i.e. pipelines, facilities, and tanks.

A stress corrosion cracking (SCC) susceptibility study is included as part of the risk assessment or can be completed separately.

Data Prediction using Machine Learning

Harness our powerful machine learning algorithms to fill in pipeline integrity data gaps e.g. pipeline coating type, coating condition, pipeline installation year, pipeline wall thickness, etc. This is especially useful for filling in data inputs required for a risk assessment.

High Consequence Area (HCA) Analysis for Hazardous Liquid Pipelines

Our GIS analysts use a verifiable, proven, and repeatable methodology to conduct an HCA analysis for hazardous liquid pipelines. Using a liquid volume release model, our team can determine a potential spill’s ability to affect an HCA via direct, indirect, overland spread, direct watershed, indirect watershed, pool fire, and HVL dispersion per CFR §195.450.

Consequence Area Analyses for Gas Pipelines (HCA, MCA & Class Location)

Our professional services team is well versed in determining the various gas pipeline consequence categories i.e. HCA, moderate consequences area (MCA) and class location.

  • Gas HCA Analysis: determination of a gas pipeline’s consequence due to failure per CFR §192.903 via Method 1: Class Location Analysis or Method 2: Calculating the Potential Impact Circle and determining Identified Sites.
  • Moderate Consequence Area (MCA): Analysis conducted per CFR §192.3  - newer classification introduced from the Gas Mega Rule.
  • Class Location: Identified per CFR §192.5.

ILI Analysis and Corrosion Growth Rate (CGR) Analysis

Harness the power of machine learning and data science algorithms for a more accurate and efficient ILI analysis. No more manual sorting, filtering or matching required.

By leveraging the CIM platform, our professional services team can:

  • Ingest and convert ILI data into a consistent format and align with provided pipe/GIS data.
  • Provide pit-to-pit alignment on all anomalies across all ILI reports, regardless of the number of anomalies or difference in ILI service provider. Don’t miss any areas of accelerated growth!
  • Calculate corrosion growth rate from a variety of corrosion growth rate models and methods including half-life, pit-to-pit minimum, pit-to-pit average, historical growth trend, nth percentile (for unmatched anomalies), etc.
  • Estimate the future depth of anomalies to determine remaining life, fitness-for-service and reinspection intervals.
  • Identify repair conditions per applicable regulatory and company requirements.
  • Validate performance of the ILI service provider, per API 1163 Level 1, 2 or 3.
  • Auto-generate dig packages that include repair lists, dig sheets, and maps/kmz files
  • Provide a comprehensive report illustrating all the above.

ILI Crack Analysis: Failure Pressure, Growth and PCFA

Running an ILI crack tool? Our professional services team can utilize CIM to analyze all crack and crack-like features identified in the ILI data and perform a comprehensive ILI crack analysis per CFR §192.712(d), CFR §195.452(g) and API 1176.

  • Calculate failure pressure using multiple models including Raju-Newman, log-secant, MAT-8 and modified MAT-8 models.
  • Calculate crack growth and remaining life for:
    • Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) using fixed growth (linear), pit-to-pit, and half-life calculation.
    • Cracks subject to fatigue growth using a simplified fatigue analysis or Pressure Cycle Fatigue Analysis (PCFA)

The PCFA provides a full fatigue and remaining life analysis of crack and crack-like flaws using rainflow counting via CIM to determine pressure cycling behavior at crack locations. Furthermore, a sensitivity study can be conducted to investigate sensitivity of the analysis based on flaw size, location, toughness, and material properties. Lack ILI data? The largest remaining crack flaw can be estimated from the most recent hydrotest.

PCFA as a Standalone Service: The professional services team can also provide operators with pressure cycling severity analysis without ILI data. Simply provide pipeline pressure data either from SCADA or other source and pressure cycling severity can be provided.
